u(t) is called 60 times per second. t: Elapsed time in seconds. S: Shorthand for Math.sin. C: Shorthand for Math.cos. T: Shorthand for Math.tan. R: Function that generates rgba-strings, usage ex.: R(255, 255, 255, 0.5) c: A 1920x1080 canvas. x: A 2D context for that canvas.

  • (golfed -10b) 🌍🌝 Moon floating around earth (both rotating now)
  • u/SockTaters
not sure if this fixed or introduced a bug by rendering all 8 phases of the moon. It seems to fall out of phase fster

  • u/SockTaters
This is a little refactored, but u/DaSpider's solution also works in 44 characters with just the t|=0 trick. A slicing solution is also very close at 45 char: t|=0;throw'FizzBuzz'.slice(t%3&&4,t%5?4:8)||t

  • Duck Hunt 🐶 Shoot (click) the ducks. Missing adds a duck. Refresh to restart. Lowest time wins!

Intended for not-fullscreen on desktop. Add this to visualize the ducks' hitboxes x.fillStyle=R(255,0,0,0.5) for(i=c.width;i--;)for(j=c.height;j--;)(i-X-3)**2+(j-Y+3)**2>>8?0:x.fillRect(i,j,1,1)

  • Volumetric RGB #Cube
  • u/SockTaters
best attempt at an uncompressed version: for(c.width=i=512;i--;x.fillStyle=R(X=I%8*8,Y=I/8|7,Z=I&56),x.fillRect(9+C(t+Math.atan(Z/X))*(X*X+Z*Z)**.5,Y,9,9))I=7*(S(t)<0)+56*(C(t)<0)^i

  • Voxel Rendering
  • u/SockTaters
The math in R() ensures the farthest voxels from the viewer are drawn first regardless of rotation. If a 2**X by 2**X grid is labeled the obvious way (with the numbers 0 to 2**(2*X)-1 left-to-right, top-to-bottom) and n is the index of a given corner, then i^n maps i to an ordering that starts at n's corner and ends at the opposite corner. Rectangles of 2**X by 2**Y might also work. The math in R() is somewhat obfuscated for golfing purposes.
  • u/SockTaters
n=[0,3,12,15][0];for(i=0;i<16;)console.log(i++^n)// try these 4 corner indices
