  • I like New_Core's use of a single loop to get two coordinates; I think this is a slight improvement on that aspect.

  • Newton's method on z^3-1.
  • u/iverjo
Would this draw faster if we draw from top to bottom rather than from left to right?
  • u/hamptonio
Nice - you are right, that is faster.

  • I did one with ImageData but the skull didnt fit in. (it was faster but not fast enough to size it up).

  • Paint! Works best in fullscreen, unfortunately I can't fit detection of mouse button to toggle painting (also not sure how, without two more event handlers…)
  • u/Kalanchoe
Nice! moveTo is unnecessary if you already have beginPath and lineTo; c.offsetWidth/1920 and c.offsetHeight/1080 are both equal to about .2958 (at least on the desktop): https://www.dwitter.net/d/809
  • u/FireFly
Won't c.offsetWidth and c.offsetHeight change when the user goes fullscreen? I wanted to support both not-fullscreen and fullscreen equally well. Good point about moveTo!

    cool!
  • u/sfz
    wtf is going on here?!
  • u/FireFly
The string embeds a tiny bitmap which is simply repeated :)
  • u/5Mixer
This is an awesome idea! I wonder what else you could do with using strings to encode more complex(?) data. Interesting.
  • u/PiggyClone205
When I read complex, I immediately thought of maybe importing other javascript and cheating a bit.
